Giveaway: Apocalypse Hop

I am excited to be taking part in the Apocalypse Hop
hosted by some of my friends Maja @ The Nocturnal Library,
Christy @ Love of Books and Heidi @ Rainy Day Ramblings

One of my favorite trilogies The Newsflesh Trilogy is a post-apocalyptic tale filled with zombies and written by one of my favorite authors Seanan McGuire under her pen name Mira Grant. I craved each book and the wait between was killer. Of course the final book was bittersweet as I was torn between knowing and it all coming to an end. So today I want to share my love of this trilogy with you by offer you a chance to win the box set.

The Newsflesh Trilogy by Mira Grant
"Alive or dead, the truth won't rest. My name is Georgia Mason, and I am begging you. Rise up while you can." The year was 2014. We had cured cancer. We had beat the common cold. But in doing so we created something new, something terrible that no one could stop. The infection spread, virus blocks taking over bodies and minds with one, unstoppable command: FEED. NOW, twenty years after the Rising, Georgia and Shaun Mason are on the trail of the biggest story of their lives-the dark conspiracy behind the infected. The truth will out, even if it kills them. The Newsflesh trilogy boxed set includes Feed, Deadline, and Blackout.
Giveaway is open Internationally as long as
Book Depository or Barnes and Noble ship to you.

I read the Passage. Found the first half of the novel fascinating, but the second half a little slow. That being said I have 'The Twelve' waiting for me and I can't wait to continue the story. I have not read White Horse yet, but it's one of my Netgalleys that I have to get to soon. Forgot it was Apocalyptic. Going to flag it up the list!!

I have to say that The Stand, by Stephen King is still high on my list of Apocalyptic books. I think it was actually my first in the genre. I also fell in love with The Hunger Games, and always on the look out for others. The scariest one I have read was Guillermo Del Toro's 'The Strain', and I am beyond excited to watch the TV series whenever it comes out.

I have had 'Feed' on my TBR for about a year I think. I hope I am the lucky winner because I have wanted to read it for a while, but either way, I WILL grab this series.

Thanks Kimba!

Anything to do with the very far future, after the nuke or natural disaster has occurred and how it affected the people far into the future. I have read some scary scenario's. Glad I won't be around.

My boyfriend recommended this one to me, it was written a very long time ago and it's not a YA novel but as my bf said in his review, it has something that today's dystopian novels are missing...it's true :)
